Medical Writing
Medical Writing is a service undertaken by our qualified scientists, all with a Ph.D. in a life science-related subject, a strong command in English, and/or with proven high-level writing skills. The typical documents relate to regulatory documents needed for the clinical trial applications (such as the Investigational Medicinal Product Dossier (IMPD), the Investigator’s Brochure (IB), and the Clinical Study Protocol (CSP)). Accordingly, during and after data analysis, our medical writers are engaged in delivering the Clinical Study Report (CSR) and thereafter manuscripts for publication of the results in medical-scientific journals.
A particular area of niche expertise is the writing of grant applications/proposals. SMERUD has achieved an unrivaled position as a leading consultancy for writing winning proposals for public R&D grants covering clinical trials. Typical grants include the larger EU-financed ones for Research and Innovation Actions (such as FP7, Horizon2020, and now Horizon Europe), and those that are specifically designated for innovative (often small-to-medium sized) businesses, e.g. the EUROSTARS, EIC ACCELERATOR (and previously the SME Instruments 1 and 2, as well as Fast-Track-to-Innovation).
